Dream

A lovely lady moved to western North Carolina to fulfill her dream of owning a horse farm. She wanted an updated southwestern interior that would be timelessly beautiful and comfortable for her guests.

Asheville Transformation

The first photo is of the office BEFORE we redesigned it. The second photo was taken AFTER our work was complete. Telecommuting is a phrase unknown to our parents generation. Most of us have created spaces in our homes for working whether they are dedicated solely for work or function as part of another room. This office was created for work and relaxation and it was small so I was unable to photograph the desk area in the AFTER photo. It is both functional and appealing but I am especially fond of it because the upholstery was produced in Hickory, North Carolina by a family owned company. I try to use products produced by our local artisans as much as possible.

Models

Developers of residential communities often create a furnished model of each floor plan they are marketing. This gives prospective buyers an idea of what their home could look like and in doing so increases sales. We found designing these model interiors both challenging and fun. Challenging because the space had to appeal to a target audience and it had to be completed within a tight time frame and budget. But they were fun because everything in the interior was new!
